I've never been one to drool over the pages of Vogue. (The pages of Anthropologie, maybe.) It's a fact of life: I will never look like a supermodel. I will never wear half the ridiculous things shown on the runway.
Fashion bloggers are a real side to the everyday fashion world. I have much more use in a "What to Wear to Work" outfit than a "What to Wear to the Opera" outfit. These girls have real bodies, and real budgets. And I love their confidence!

(I love belted cardigans and riding boots. I just didn't know how apparent it was until I chose these photos...)
Kendi started the 30 for 30 remix, to encourage people to use the clothes they already have to create outfits. The Pretty Life girls make adorable outfits on a budget, I swear I've never seen anything over $50. Kristine (or is it Polly?) has the greatest scarf and belt collection. And I love how silly Sydney at The Daybook is in photos.
Do you all follow fashion bloggers? Who are some of your favorites? I'd love to blog stalk them!

i totally agree with you, i don't have as much interest in couture as i do regular fashion blogging for the same reasons - i'm a normal girl who goes to the office.

love fashion bloggers, I just peruse ones that I find every day and dont really have any particulars favorited, although there is an italian girl from milan named chiara ferragani (sp?) whose blog is called the blonde salad and her outfits are so wild and crazy! I like looking at her outfits but I would never wear them -- I'm much too simple for that. I do love daily dose of dana though shes quite adorable!
ReplyDeletei sometimes wish i knew more about fashion
ReplyDeleteI think wearing that dress to a wedding would be totally acceptable because its not all white :) any piece that has a mix of other colors especially like prints or patterns is cute and appropriate for the occasion :) I love lilly's new dresses with the swirl pattern like the middle one :)
ReplyDeleteLove all of these!! It's true I love reading blogs more than magazines too!
ReplyDeleteMeet Virginia Design
