I have a ridiculous amount of music. And lately, I've been setting my iPod to "Never Played" in an effort to listen to something new. I especially like this at the gym: I rediscover some old gems, get to jam out and keep myself interested during my workout.
Do you know what can happen when you do this?
I was stretching, thinking "I know this song...but from where?" And then I realized it was "Sonata No. 2 In B Minor For Piano, Op. 35: IV." Also known as "The Funeral March."
Stretching. To the funeral procession song.
No wonder working out seems so daunting.
haha! hilarious.
ReplyDeleteHa! That's great. It happens to me more often than not - the realizing I know a song and not knowing why thing.. not the funeral stretching thing..
ReplyDelete=]
Too funny. =)
ReplyDeleteI could totally see myself doing that... For instance, the other day, I grabbed the Grease CD (needed to use a CD since my iPod shuffle has a book 'in it' and I don't want to lose my plae!... So, anyways, I thought- I never listen to this one, this will be good workout music. Most of the songs are slow, at least in the beginning. Not a good workout CD after all :).
Lol. Lesson learned. Sometimes I try setting my ipod on shuffle to hear new things and then remember why I got to what I like. Everything just doesn't hit the spot.
ReplyDeletehahaha, this is hilarious! i've thought about doing this for the aerobics classes i teach, but i think i would scare off my participants :)
ReplyDeletetoo funny! i wonder if my ipod has that setting?
ReplyDeleteHilarious! That's a good idea though, to listen to those rarely played songs on the iPod
ReplyDeleteYou have two great ideas in this post. 1) Working out and 2.) Listening to throw back songs. Good job. I will try to do at least one of these today. :)
ReplyDeleteahahah..I feel the same way about working out!! xo
ReplyDeleteSo daunting and sometimes so fitting during a workout:-) xoxo
ReplyDeletehahah - that is too funny! How do you set it to "never played"?
ReplyDeleteHAHA..oye yes that could make one not want to work out!!
ReplyDeleteThis cracked me up! Too funny!
ReplyDeleteThat is pretty interesting! Sounds like a good idea to listen to never played, but then you get those crazy songs like that! :) Have a great day!
ReplyDeletethat sounds about right. I feel like I'm going to a funeral whenever I need to exercise. Haha.
ReplyDeleteHahhaa...I so need to try that:) hahah
ReplyDeleteHave a fantastic day

oh dear. I wonder what my ipod would play if I did that...
ReplyDeleteHonestly, does it get any funnier? The answer is no, it does not. (c: Thanks for the laugh, I needed it! And question, why is that on your ipod to begin with???
ReplyDeletehahaha hilarious! i am definitely going to do this for my next workout, ill come up with some ridiculous songs! x
ReplyDeleteHahaha of dear, this made me laugh so much! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI accidentally set my whole i-pod onto shuffle today instead of my usual playlist, and I agree, it was wonderful to listen to old songs and even find some new ones!
Hee hee! quite the coincidence!
