Druzy Rings

How gorgeous are these druzy rings?  Druzy occurs when gases are trapped inside molten rock.  Groundwater flows through the crevices created by the trapped gases, depositing layers of minerals.  Those minerals crystallize for hundreds (or even thousands!) of years.

Nature is SO cool.
