This is what happens when I go to the used bookstore. I walk out with nine books. And I only stopped at nine because I ran out of arms to hold them.
This should keep me busy for a little bit. What are you all reading right now? I'm always taking suggestions...for my next trip.
If you live in DC, my favorite used bookstore is Books for America in Dupont. They're a wonderful non-profit that donates books to DC schools and shelters. Hardly anything in the store is over $4. Plus, with all these bright minds in Washington, they've got an awesome selection.

Book stores are dangerous... esp. used book stores.! I can EASILY get lost for hours. 3 Cups of Tea is one of my favorites... as is 'Brave New World''! I just started reading 'The Imperfectionists" by Tom Rachman and am throughly enjoying it so far.

ReplyDeleteI can't wait to go to that bookstore! What am I reading right now? Nothing. Sad, right? My metro commute is usually spent on personal and work email. My night time read is magazines right now. I subscribe to way to many, but love them oh so much :)
ReplyDeleteI loooove going into my local used bookstore, but it's always a dangerous proposition. I constantly see things and think "I've always meant to read that! $3? I'll take it!" They're also such a good place to find design/photography/coffee table books that you don't really want to spend fifty bucks on.
ReplyDeleteI'm going on vacation soon and am planning on reading The Help. I know, I know I'm the last person to read it!
Just read Modoc and The Maybelline Story... Loved them both.
ReplyDeleteI have so many "to-read" books, I think I should stay far, far away from used book stores (for a while, anyway :)).
Love books. My favorite place to be is in a bookstore of any kind :)
ReplyDeleteI'm currently reading, "Water for Elephants." I'm finding it a bit slow, but I hate not finishing a book that I've started. Wish me luck! I'll keep you posted!
Happy reading!
