Five Inches

I hope you all had wonderful Labor Day weekends!  I spent the weekend with Andrew's family: lots of home videos, laughing with his siblings, and chatting around the dinner table.

It's been pouring rain since I got back.  I've been home, devouring The Help (yes, I'm about a million years behind) and making Red Velvet Whoopie Pies.  Work stress still abounds for another month, so it's so nice to come home and enjoy my forced rain relaxation.  Flash flooding and all.

  1. I understand the flash flooding. Dealing with it here! Sounds like the perfect way to deal with it though!

  4. Hopefully the rain doesn't turn into anything too serious!

Love The Help -- I finally convinced my mother and sister to read it.

Love red velvet whoopie pies too! I made them last year around Valentine's Day and husband and I devoured them. Definitely have to eat them in small doses though -- so rich!

  9. If you are a million years behind, then I'm a million and a half behind because I'm still just *planning* to read the Help and just finished the Hunger Games series. Pathetic. (c: Sounds like a fantastic weekend and I'm now officially mad at you for putting red velvet whoopie pies in my head! (c:
