I hope you all had wonderful Labor Day weekends! I spent the weekend with Andrew's family: lots of home videos, laughing with his siblings, and chatting around the dinner table.
It's been pouring rain since I got back. I've been home, devouring The Help (yes, I'm about a million years behind) and making Red Velvet Whoopie Pies. Work stress still abounds for another month, so it's so nice to come home and enjoy my forced rain relaxation. Flash flooding and all.
I understand the flash flooding. Dealing with it here! Sounds like the perfect way to deal with it though!
ReplyDeleteglad the vacation was lovely and the rain relaxing.
ReplyDeleteThe Help & red velvet whoopie pies - sounds like an amazing weekend! :)
ReplyDeleteHopefully the rain doesn't turn into anything too serious!
ReplyDeleteLove The Help -- I finally convinced my mother and sister to read it.
Love red velvet whoopie pies too! I made them last year around Valentine's Day and husband and I devoured them. Definitely have to eat them in small doses though -- so rich!
