The Cooking Channel

[Baller graphics by Amanda Jane Jones, extremely-hard-to-find 3x3 craft boxes by leboxboutique]

When you are roommate-less for 5 days, here is what I do not recommend: watching the Cooking Channel by yourself.  Because you will end up making brussels sprouts, green beans, banana bread, thai peanut noodles and mini quiche.  And there will be only one person in your house to eat it all.

But I used my food coma to start on an advent calendar.  After that, I got sucked into the end of Pride & Prejudice.*  Then, The Duchess.  And then Love Actually.

Keira Knightly overload, right? For the record, The Duchess made my cry profusely on my couch.  Be warned - British historical fiction can be rough.  Maybe I should stick to the Cooking Channel.

*The new one.  But the 1995 version is infinitely better.  Infinitely.

  1. Love that you partook in "Love Actually" just as I did!

    Liesl :)

  2. I love Love Actually....and I'll have to put the others you mentioned on my to-watch list once the craziness of these last two weeks of schools subsides. Speaking of over cooking/baking...I fear I've made a few too many batches of pumpkin cookies just now....whoops! :)

p.s. stop by my blog for a giveaway!

  3. I want an advent calendar with lots of presents for ME! but so far, i have 2 advent calendars with little ornaments inside

  4. I am always watching cooking shows and wow, they make it look so much easier than it actually is. =)

  5. love the advent calendar!! too cute. feel free to send any extra food my way :)

  6. Hehehe...strangely enough, I like Kiera...that sounds like my kind of party! I adore Love Actually, one of the best movies *ever*!

  7. I haven't seen The Duchess but I really wanted to. And I agree, the 1995 version is awesome. Colin Firth is perfect as Darcy.

  8. Just watched Love Actually too. It's our annual tradition. Thanks for stopping by High Styling, glad you found me so I could find you!

Thank you for your sweet comments. They make my day!
